In opting for slow, flight-free travel, you'll experience the joy of travelling through, rather than flying over. With journeys that prioritise beauty over speed, the journey becomes an integral and enjoyable component of the trip, allowing time to stop off in beautiful places away from the beaten path.

You'll also be doing the planet a favour. Instead of catching a flight to Venice to start your Intrepid tour, a Byway trip would take you on one of the most scenic railway routes in Europe, stopping off at lesser-known French and Italian towns along the way.
